CATAWBA COUNTY REGIMENTS

Well over 2,000 men of Catawba County answered the call when the rights of Southern citizens were threatened. Ten companies were formed in Catawba County, being formed shortly after the war began. Over 600 men gave their lives in the defense of their country during the War For Southern Independence. While many men served in other North Carolina military units and in the forces of other states, the following is a list of those who served in Catawba Counties.

Company B, 3rd Regiment, NC Junior Reserves
